Pun Pun is a Nanotrasen hired monkey Ghost Role that spawns in the bar; as he got hired through the same channels as the rest of the crew, he has an ID and the same rights as any crew member. Pun Pun's duties are the same as any other bartender's.

As he is a monkey he only has one hand to use, does not have an eyewear, backpack, glove or shoe slot and lacks pockets, but he does posses a tail, which lets him drag items or people even when his hand is full. While monkeys and, therefore, Pun Pun can wear clothes equipped in the body slot, the external clothes slot does not accept clothes like jackets; the external clothing slot can only equip EVA suits, which means extreme pressures are survivable.

When playing as Pun Pun, most crew will leave you alone as long as you just make the drinks. Being a member of the Service department, Pun Pun answers directly to the Head of Personnel, who will usually be happy to give Pun Pun access to other service departments, like Janitorial, Botany, or the Kitchen. Transferring to other departments will usually require the stamp of the respective head on a related piece of paperwork. While this may seem obvious, Pun Pun is usually incapable of speech and so communication can be a barrier. You'll likely have to get a bit creative in how you relay your needs, wants, threats and departmental requests.
