Weapons: Difference between revisions
imported>Chusuisetsu →Makeshift Weapons: Didn't find anywhere else that detailed the pen's damage and it seemed like it should be here since it's a decent melee weapon. Wasn't sure whether it should be under dedicated melee weapons or makeshift melee weapons but given that it's under the "deception" tab in the syndicate uplink I figured it should be under makeshift. Not sure how to make the image bigger and I also don't know how to centre the text so I left it as is. |

This is of course because the game is in continuous development, with frequent and numerous balance changes related to combat and often to this page's topic - weapons.<br/>

They are primarily divided between ranged and melee weapons. The latter of the two includes your own fists, which are hard to lose. If you, however, want to find weapons better than those, but are struggling to find dedicated ones, makeshift weapons are nearly always available - although they are usually less reliable, and inconvenient in their own ways.
For the purposes of this page, less obvious things to count as weapons, such as banana peels, flashbangs, or space lube, are listed as well, as they all play an important part in the game's combat.

To enter Combat mode, find the relevant icon in your actions menu or list. Remember that you can wield some weapons in both hands by using them in hand, this includes large melee weapons, but also large firearms like shotguns or sniper rifles.
It's also good to internalize that advantages provided by better weapons often stifle when faced with the chaotic nature of space station's rounds. Someone with a glass shard, or even just fists, can very reasonably take out an antagonist, or member of command armed to the teeth, if the situation on board the station has suitably deteriorated. The environment often plays a large role in how fight's play out. It should be deeply considered before, and when in, a fight. It will matter just as much for a passenger, who's trying to steal a stun baton, as for a team of nuclear operatives, who are trying to wipe out a department. Space lube, fauna, fire, radiation, and other hazards, don't effect everyone equally.

Not weapons per se - this is a loose category. Mostly items which can be used as weapons to variable result, while usually also being easier to obtain for civilians compared to dedicated melee weapons. Most of them are also not illegal to have, or if they are, significantly less so than their similar dedicated counterparts.

Combat tracks "stamina damage", which if allowed to fully exhaust will cause a lengthy stun affliction, which knocks down and disables a player's ability to do anything for a set duration. During the stun, the player is unable to move or act in any way that isn't speaking.
The above is a "true" stun, unlike, in comparison, for example the taser, which only knocks an opponent down, but will not prevent them from further actions - meaning they can immediately get off the ground and pick up their weapons to attack.

Template:FmboxWhether you need to defend yourself from traitors, remove intruders from the bridge, or murder the clown, you have a lot to too choose from for the job - weapons in Space Station 14 are numerous and varied.
Combat
Template:Main To enter Combat mode, find the relevant icon in your actions menu or list.

Non-lethal Weapons
Combat tracks "stamina damage", which if allowed to fully exhaust will cause a lengthy stun affliction, which knocks down and disables a player's ability to do anything for a set duration. During the stun, the player is unable to move or act in any way that isn't speaking.
The above is a "true" stun, unlike, in comparison, for example the taser, which only knocks an opponent down, but will not prevent them from further actions - meaning they can immediately get off the ground and pick up their weapons to attack.
This isn't a complete list, you can help by expanding it.

![]() |
